Mad Llama is a unique spot located in Madisonville, OH just north of downtown Cincinnati. My son & I were driving home from a soccer game and happened across it. I always love checking out new places so we made a quick stop! They serve assorted espresso drinks, cold brews & teas, plus sandwiches and pastries.  Located about 15 minutes North of downtown Cincinnati this coffee shop is a low-key place to hang and caffeinate.

What Makes Them Unique

First, their name is certainly unique! They have nods to the name throughout with little llama decorations and specialty drinks based on their namesake. They also roast their own coffee which gives them a leg up on taste. While they mostly offer the standard coffee drinks they do have something unique called a “Whip”, which is ice cream mixed with coffee & flavored syrup. Sounds perfect for a hot summer day!

Location

This Cincinnati coffee shop is located a quick 15 minute drive north of downtown Cincinnati in the area called Madisonville.

Atmosphere

This coffee shop is great for a quick cup on the go or to sit and work for awhile. They are only open until 3pm each day so it’s not going to be a place for a late night hang. The inside seating area is fairly small – the windows are lined with a bar and there is a limited number of bar-height stools inside. Outside there are a couple of picnic tables which would be great in warm summer months.  It would be hard to take a group here, but it is perfect for some solo work or some one on one conversation with a friend.

There is plenty of free parking in a little lot right next to the building, making it a convenient place to stop on the go.
